Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever said that Ukraine will receive two F-16 fighter jets this year and two more next year. There will be no delays in the delivery of the aircraft.

He made the statement on 8 April during a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

«Two F-16s for spare parts will be delivered this year, and two aircraft will be delivered next year. We really hope that there will be more, but we are waiting for the F-35. There are no delays on our part», said Bart De Wever.

According to him, as soon as Belgium receives the F-35 aircraft, it will immediately hand over F-16s to Ukraine.

«We are fully committed to our promises. We will immediately deliver the F-16s we promised to Ukraine. There will be no delays in the delivery of F-16s from Belgium», the Belgian Prime Minister added.

Earlier it was reported that the United States would provide Ukraine with new F-16 fighter jets. The aircraft are already being prepared for shipment.
