Mykolaiv handed over a batch of drones for defenders in the Kherson region

Mykolaiv handed over another batch of drones to Ukrainian defenders performing tasks in the Kherson direction.

This was reported on the website of the Mykolaiv City Council.

It should be noted that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Mykolaiv has helped the Defense Forces of Ukraine with almost a billion hryvnias.

«In 2025 (Mykolaiv, — note) will continue to provide systemic support to our defenders», the message says.

Mykolaiv also recently handed over drones and thermal guns to the fighters of the 126th Territorial Defense Brigade. As noted by the mayor of Mykolaiv, Oleksandr Sienkevych, these improved drones can fly even further and carry more.

Let us recall that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, according to 2023 data, 597 million hryvnias have been allocated from the Mykolaiv budget for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and another 80 million in equipment have been transferred.

Also, 400 million hryvnias were allocated from the Mykolaiv budget in 2023 for the military, of which 200 million hryvnias went to purchase housing for servicemen serving in units of the Mykolaiv garrison.

In March, 57.6 million hryvnias were allocated from the free balance of the city budget to support the Territorial Administration, as well as the Security and Defense Forces. And in April 2024, the city council deputies made changes to the city budget for 2024: about 107 million hryvnias were allocated for defense.

In September 2024, the Mykolaiv City Council transferred material assistance worth over 7 million hryvnias to the needs of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
