As reported by the Australian government, these marine boats of the Australian Defense Forces will provide fast maritime capabilities for Ukraine.
«Australia will present Ukraine with 14 hard-hull boats, which will underline the government's continued commitment to support Ukraine in its defense against the illegal invasion of Russia,» the message reads.
It is noted that the latest round of military support, estimated at 14 million Australian dollars, will strengthen the maritime and coastal defenses of Ukraine, which is an important operational area for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, Australia has provided over $1.3 billion in military support and over $1.5 billion in general support to the government of Ukraine.
It will be recalled that in April of this year, Estonia, in coordination with Denmark, transferred two patrol boats to Ukraine to protect sea lanes in the Black Sea.
