Today, 24 August, Ukraine has repatriated 10 servicemen as part of a special phase of the prisoner exchange. All of them had been considered missing in action.

This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The Ukrainian servicemen were returned as part of a special phase of the exchange via Belarus. They are servicemen from the Armed Forces and the National Guard of Ukraine who were defending the country in the Donetsk sector.

As a reminder, on 19 August, Ukraine secured the release of 103 defenders from Russian captivity. Among those released were servicemen from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the State Border Guard Service and the National Guard of Ukraine.
