The «Defenders of the Fatherland» memorial complex in Yuzhnoukrainska was renamed the «Defenders of Ukraine» memorial complex.
The corresponding draft decision was approved by the deputies of the Yuzhnoukrainsk City Council at the session.
It should be noted that in June of last year, the Soviet sign located on the ceiling of the memorial complex was dismantled. After the restoration, the order was supposed to replenish the museum fund of the city.
It was previously reported that the Yuzhnoukrainsk City Council plans to spend almost 400,000 hryvnias on the installation of paving stones for this memorial complex, which now has the name Defenders of Ukraine.
We will also remind you that at the session the deputies of the Yuzhnoukrainsk City Council could not decide on the best way to rename the city.
In October of last year , fifteen streets, two boulevards and an alley in the Yuzhnoukrainsk community received new names.
