Deputy Minister of Energy Mykola Kolisnyk said that Ukraine does not sell electricity abroad, instead the state works to ensure stable electricity supply for Ukrainian consumers.

Mykola Kolisnyk stated this on Radio Svoboda.

The minister called the information about such a sale a fake.

«I emphasize: no, exports do not take place on a commercial basis. These are actually deliberate fakes, which are distributed as IPSO. Today, we are clearly focused on balancing the internal needs of the energy system in order to ensure stable power supply and power supply for our own needs,» said Mykola Kolisnyk.

According to him, energy companies are taking measures as much as possible to reduce the number of hours of power supply restrictions, but these schedules are based on the situation at a specific moment, and shelling and a drastic change in weather conditions can affect the operation of the system.

It was previously reported that the situation with electricity supply to consumers will improve in August of this year, which is due to the completion of planned and preventive repairs of several NPP power units.
