Logistics during the war: Odesa region is among the top regions by number of companies

Odesa region is among the three regions of Ukraine with the largest number of companies operating in the transport and logistics sector. The region currently has 11.8 thousand individual entrepreneurs and 6.3 thousand companies operating in this industry.

Kyiv is the absolute leader in the number of businesses in the logistics sector — almost 19 thousand companies (27% of the total number in the country) and almost 16 thousand individual entrepreneurs (8%) operate in the capital. In total, almost 35,000 business entities related to the transport and logistics sector are concentrated in Kyiv.

Dnipro region ranks second, with more than 5,000 companies and more than 13,800 individual entrepreneurs — a total of about 18,900 businesses. The high performance is due to the region's strong industrial potential and strategic location of transport routes.

The third position is occupied by Odesa region, where the total number of logistics companies is 18.1-18.3 thousand. Lviv region is in fourth place (approximately 16,600 businesses). The western region has become a new logistics hub, where many carriers and warehouse operators have moved their operations.

Kyiv region (excluding the capital) rounds out the top five with 16.1 thousand logistics businesses. Kharkiv region (more than 14,500 companies and individual entrepreneurs) and Vinnytsia region (almost 9,700) also demonstrate high performance.

In other regions, the number of active logistics businesses is less than eight thousand, with the lowest figures recorded in the frontline regions.

In particular, more than 7,700 companies operate in Mykolaiv region, of which 5,400 are sole proprietorships. And in Kherson region, there are more than 4,200, including about 3,000 individual entrepreneurs.

Earlier it was reported that the decline in business activity continues in Mykolaiv region. In the first nine months of 2025, 5,740 sole proprietors ceased their activities, which is almost equal to the number of new registrations.
