«You can't survive on benefits for long», — Kim on why business benefits are needed in Mykolaiv region

Vitalii Kim, head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, believes that the region's recovery should start with business and investment.

To do this, favourable conditions need to be created in the frontline regions, he said during a telethon.

«International assistance is good, but businesses that create added value and taxes themselves must work. You can't survive on aid alone for long. I believe that now we need to develop tools that will allow businesses and partners to invest in Ukraine. First of all, in the frontline regions because of the risks. That is, the procedure should be separate or preferential. Let's compare Mykolaiv and Lviv, for example. With the same government programmes, businesses will invest in Lviv because it is safer. Therefore, it is necessary to create conditions for businesses to understand why they take more risks and open in frontline regions. This is a necessary story. We will start with agriculture,» said Vitalii Kim.
