In the first half of 2025, 425 new companies were opened in Mykolaiv region, while 242 were closed.
This is evidenced by analytical data from Opendatabot, according to NikVesti.
In Odesa, the dynamics are more active: 1198 companies were registered and 412 were liquidated. But in Kherson region, the situation is the opposite: only 63 companies were opened there in six months, and 64 ceased operations.
In general, more than 18,000 new companies were established in Ukraine in the first six months of the year, almost as many as in the first half of last year. At the same time, the number of closures increased by 19% year-on-year.
According to the study, almost a third of all new businesses were opened in the capital — more than 5,800 companies. This is followed by Lviv and Dnipropetrovsk regions — more than 1,500. At the same time, the majority of closures are in the same regions. Kyiv is in the lead with 717 companies. This is followed by Lviv region with 470 companies and Dnipropetrovsk region with 464 companies.
It is noted that 97 new companies ceased operations without having existed for six months. This is slightly more than last year — 92, but significantly less than in 2021, when there were 264 such cases.
Wholesale trade is the most actively developing sector, accounting for 15% of all new businesses. This is followed by NGOs, real estate, IT, and the agricultural sector. The fastest growing sector is IT, with the number of new companies in this sector increasing by 48% over the year.
Earlier it was reported that the White Business Club includes more than 8.8 thousand Ukrainian companies, of which only 179 are registered in Mykolaiv region.
