Tax audit: over ₴595 million was added to the budget of Mykolaiv region, but only 5% was paid

A view of Mykolaiv. Archival photo: NikVestiIn the first half of this year, tax auditors in Mykolaiv region conducted 418 audits and added more than 595 million hryvnias to the budget.
According to the regional office of the State Tax Service, the audit reports of the current and previous years agreed to pay 465.4 million hryvnias, of which only 29.8 million hryvnias was paid.
In particular, the tax authorities reduced the negative value of the income tax object by almost 12 million hryvnias, reduced the amount of VAT claimed for refund from the budget by more than 11 million hryvnias, and reduced the negative value to be credited to the tax credit of the next reporting period by more than 52 million hryvnias.
In June this year, Mykolaiv Oblast tax authorities reported that they had conducted 352 audits in the first five months of the year. Based on their results, they added more than 432 million hryvnias to the budget.
