Mykolaiv region to receive almost ₴20 million for school buses

In 2025, Mykolaiv region will receive 19.7 million hryvnias in subventions from the state budget for the purchase of school buses.

This is stated in the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, according to NikVesti.

The buses must be specially equipped to transport people with limited mobility, have seats for attendants and wheelchairs. Their number should correspond to the number of children with special educational needs enrolled in pre-school or school education institutions of the territorial community, regardless of the form of education.

The recipient of donations is the NGO “Mykolaiv Media Hub” (EDRPOU 45160758). By making a donation, you confirm that the amount is non-refundable and may be used by the NGO to implement its statutory activities, including supporting independent journalism and creating socially significant content. If there are no such children in the community, they are still obliged to purchase a special bus — at least one per community.

Purchases will be made on a co-financing basis. The share of funds to be added by local authorities depends on the budget's tax capacity:

• for communities with an index of 1.3 or more, the state will cover up to 70% of the cost;

• for the index from 1.1 — up to 80%;

• from 0.7 — up to 90%;

• less than 0.7 — up to 95%.

The following regions will also receive a subvention:

• Odesa region — 44.9 million hryvnias

• Kharkiv region — 39.5 million hryvnias

• Khmelnytskyi region — 24.3 million hryvnias

• Chernihiv region — 21.1 million hryvnias

• Dnipropetrovsk region — 16 million hryvnias

• Sumy region — 13.5 million hryvnias

• Kirovograd — 11.3 million hryvnias

• Cherkasy region — 6.7 million hryvnias

It is worth reminding that Mykolaiv communities received 15 new school buses to transport pupils. The vehicles were handed over on 28 March with the support of the Kingdom of Denmark and UNOPS.
