The city of Mykolaiv plans to spend about 26 million hryvnias to repair a part of the Inhulskyi Bridge by the end of 2025.

This is according to the Prozorro electronic procurement system, according to NikVesti.

The Infrastructure Restoration and Development Service in Mykolaiv Oblast has announced a tender for the maintenance of the Inhulskyi Bridge. The list of works includes replacement of deformed joints and pavement of the bridge, installation of 12 metres of new railings and road signs, and marking.

These works were estimated at 26.1 million hryvnias. However, the amount of work may be reduced if bidders offer lower prices for the bridge maintenance service.

The contractor will have to complete the repairs by 20 December 2025 and provide a guarantee: 3 years for the asphalt concrete pavement, 2 years for new expansion joints and six months for painted markings.

The process of submitting tender proposals from future participants is currently underway, and the contractor will be selected after 25 April.

Inhulskyi Bridge in Mykolaiv

Since October 2023, the Inhulskyi Bridge in Mykolaiv has been in state ownership. At the time, the city council said it would not be able to repair the bridge quickly.

After that, the Recovery Agency announced a detailed inspection of the Inhulskyi and Varvarivskyi bridges. These works were estimated at 9.7 million hryvnias. For these funds, the contractor is to determine the technical condition of the bridges and approaches to them. The results will determine the operating conditions and permissible load.

Vitalii Shevchenko, director of the municipal enterprise «ELU Avtodorig», assured that Varvarivskyi and Inhulskyi bridges in Mykolaiv are so strong that they «can only be demolished by a nuclear explosion».
