The government has simplified the procedure for receiving pensions for IDPs, Ukrainians living abroad and those living in the temporarily occupied territories. From now on, pensioners can receive their payments to the accounts of any bank in Ukraine, not just through Oshchadbank, as it was before.
This was reported by the Ministry of Social Policy.
Earlier, certain categories of pensioners, including those who received an IDP certificate before 24 February 2022, as well as citizens who went abroad after that date or live in the temporarily occupied territories, had separate conditions for receiving pension payments.
The Government has now adopted amendments that establish uniform conditions for all Ukrainian citizens, regardless of their location. Now, in order to receive pensions, it is necessary to undergo physical identification once a year, by 31 December.
Also, pensioners in TOT are required to make at least one financial transaction on their account every six months if they have not undergone physical identification during this time. This is necessary to confirm that the pensioner is alive and receives funds on his or her card in person.
It is important to note that pensions to citizens in the occupied territories are paid subject to confirmation that they do not receive a pension from Russia. To do this, you need to submit an application to the Pension Fund of Ukraine in any form.
«Please note that the payment of pensions to citizens in the TOT and those who have left the TOT is subject to confirmation of the information about not receiving a pension from the Russian Federation. To do this, you need to write an application to the Pension Fund in any form about not receiving a pension from the Russian Federation and submit it to the Pension Fund at», the Ministry said.
As a reminder, at the end of 2024, the average pension in Mykolaiv region was almost 5,548 hryvnias, which is less than the average in Ukraine — 5,789 hryvnias.
