Small and medium-sized entrepreneurs in the Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Kherson, Chernihiv and Sumy regions can receive grants of up to five thousand dollars from the Danish Refugee Council (DRC).

As the press service of the organization notes, the program financed by USAID is aimed at the economic recovery of regions affected by the war.

Depending on the number of registered employees, the business can receive:

  • up to five thousand dollars — for companies with more than three official employees;
  • up to three thousand dollars — for enterprises with 1-2 employees;
  • up to one thousand dollars — for businesses without registered employees.

Program participants must meet a number of criteria, including having at least two years of work experience, up to 20 employees and an annual turnover of up to 9 million hryvnias. Priority is given to businesses that have been affected by the war or have moved.

The program aims to help small and medium-sized enterprises to overcome the consequences of the war so that they can restore or continue their activities.

«In addition, priority is given to businesses that were affected by the war or were forced to relocate. When selecting participants, attention will also be paid to the viability of the business plan, the absence of legal obstacles to obtaining a grant, etc. Grant funds are proposed to be spent on the purchase of necessary equipment, rental of premises, restoration of damaged premises or other urgent needs. In addition to the grant, the program provides up to five hours of business consultations on accounting, marketing, legal issues and other topics,» the press service notes.

Detailed criteria and detailed information about the program can be found on the registration page.
