There are 282 enterprises operating in Transcarpathia that were relocated from war zones and frontline regions. Currently, the region has received 40% of all relocated businesses of Ukraine.

This was reported by the head of the Transcarpathia RMA, Myroslav Biletskyi, in a comment to an Ukrinform correspondent during a conversation at the Re:Open Zakarpattia development forum.

He noted that relocated businesses, including private enterprises, have completely changed the region.

«Let me explain better with numbers. The regional budget in 2021 was 2.6 billion hryvnias. Now our budget is 2.4 billion hryvnias. Yes, it is a little smaller than before the war, but there is an important nuance. As of 2021, we had 60% of state subsidies in the budget. As of 2024, our subsidy dependence is at the level of 25%. That is, relocation is billions that we have never collected until now. Before the start of this process, we collected millions of taxes,» said Biletskyi.

Roman Sarai, head of the Transcarpathian Regional Council, added that 40% of all relocated businesses in Ukraine are now located in Transcarpathia.

«To date, relocated enterprises have already invested 1 billion euros in the region. We cannot feel it at once — it is a process that continues and will continue for more than one year. The structure of the regional budget has changed. The level of subsidies was one of the highest in the country, and now it has significantly decreased. In order for communities to feel these real changes, the region must become subsidized, then it will be possible to invest in infrastructure projects,» he explained.

It will be recalled that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, 817 enterprises of the Mykolaiv region re-registered in other regions, while the region accepted 654 enterprises from other regions.
