Residents of Mykolaiv region and Kherson region can receive money from an international organization for the restoration of agriculture

A program to support agriculture is being launched in the territory of Kherson and Mykolaiv regions.

Residents of these regions will be able to receive $3,000, $75,000, and $150,000 from the international organization Mercy Corps to restore agricultural activity.

As reported by the international organization Mercy Corps, aid will be provided to restore agricultural activities and overcome the consequences of the war to affected families and those forcibly displaced by the war, as well as to farmers and businesses closely related to agriculture.

Acceptance of applications for financial assistance to households, small and medium-sized farmers affected by the war and the explosion of the Kakhovka HPP started on November 1, 2024.

«On a competitive basis, households can receive a grant of about $3,000 (in hryvnias at the NBU exchange rate), small farmers — $75,000 (in hryvnias at the NBU exchange rate), medium farmers — $150,000 (in hryvnias at the NBU exchange rate),» added in Mercy Corps.

It is indicated that the financial assistance is provided within the framework of the program to support the agriculture of Ukraine, which is implemented by the international humanitarian organization Mercy Corps with the assistance of the Howard G. Foundation. Buffett. The implementing partner of the Program in the Mykolaiv and Kherson regions is the LASKA Foundation.

We will remind that in October, 98 residents of the Kherson community received financial assistance in the amount of 459,000 hryvnias as part of the «Social Protection» program.
