Taxpayers of the Mykolaiv region in 2024 transferred almost ₴600 million to support the army

Almost 600 million hryvnias of the military levy came to the budget of Ukraine from the taxpayers of the Mykolaiv Oblast for January-August 2024.

This was reported in the Main Department of the Tax Service in the Mykolaiv region.

According to tax officials, these funds are intended to support the Ukrainian army and strengthen the state's defense capabilities. The military levy from the incomes of the residents of the region exceeded last year's figure by 25 million hryvnias.

Earlier, the mayor of Mykolaiv, Oleksandr Sienkevych, said that after the withdrawal of the «military» personal income tax, the city lacks one billion hryvnias until the end of 2024 for basic expenses — the payment of salaries, utility costs and funds for housing restoration.
