The head of Odesa RMA told how the region helps businesses relocated from Mykolaiv: negotiations with banks and subvention

Oleg Kiper Oleg Kiper

The authorities of the Odesa region reported that they are helping businesses relocated from Mykolaiv through negotiations with banks and subvention.

This was announced by the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, during a press conference, NikVesti writes.

«Part of Mykolaiv and part of Kherson (relocated to Odesa and the region, — note) are our more southern regions. Today, we help them in communication with banks, in bank lending — the 5-7-9% system works. We are not many, I will be honest, but we gave support with our subvention, which should return to us. So that the enterprise does not cease to function at all. We accommodate agricultural producers, small enterprises — some apply, some go to the bank themselves. But many enterprises are starting up and working,» said Oleh Kiper.

He also added that the number of entrepreneurs in Odesa region has doubled compared to last year.

«Under such difficult conditions today, despite the fact that there were problems with the light, somewhere there are not enough people — they work, try and help. Of course, for us they are taxpayers. If in 2022 there will be one number of entrepreneurs, now it has doubled. We see a trend towards an increase in economic indicators,» Oleh Kiper added.

We remind, in Mykolaiv with the beginning of a full-scale war, 90% of medium-sized enterprises were forced to close. Also, almost all large enterprises stopped working or moved to other regions.

After the liberation of Kherson, the head of Mykolaiv RMA Vitalii Kim called on businesses to return to Mykolaiv to restore the region.

Currently, the Mykolaiv Regional Employment Center has the opportunity to issue grants for the opening and development of businesses worth another 20 million hryvnias by the end of the year.
