In Mykolaiv, ₴263 million has already been spent on housing for the military

In Mykolaiv, 263 million hryvnias of compensation for the purchase of housing for military personnel have already been implemented.

The head of the department of labor and social protection of the population, Serhii Vasylenko, told NikVesti about this.

Thus, according to the city program, out of the planned 192 million hryvnias, 163.8 million hryvnias were realized. For these funds, 98 military personnel received the right to compensation.

— From the state budget, this is for those who stood in line and have a dual status — internally displaced persons and participants in hostilities — we had a limit of 110 million 865 thousand 916 hryvnias. We paid a little more than 100 million. Unfortunately, we could not provide these funds for 10 million 786 thousand 400 hryvnias, because part of them is in captivity, — said Serhii Vasylenko.

For the purchase of housing, military personnel are given certificates for a certain amount of funds, which depends on the number of family members and status. The military can use such a certificate for one year.

— According to the local decree, which according to the state, when receiving the funds, a person is given a year to purchase an apartment. Certificates depend on the number of family members and the status of the family. For example, if the family has a family member with a disability, then according to the law, they should be given more square meters, and accordingly, this is a larger amount, — the department noted.

Serhii Vasylenko also reported that at the session of the Mykolaiv City Council, which will take place on November 23, they plan to allocate another 24 million hryvnias from the city budget for compensation for the purchase of housing by the military.

Yes, a total of 220 million hryvnias will be allocated from the city budget alone for apartments for military personnel.

— We also received funds from the state budget for people with disabilities and family members of the deceased. We had a limit of 11 million 285 thousand 493 hryvnias. They are all paid to 5 people. So far, only one person has purchased a home with these funds, — Serhii Vasylenko said.

As you know, without the military income tax, Mykolaiv will not be able to finance the program for the purchase of housing for military personnel.

We remind you that in January, Mykolaiv adopted a program to provide housing for servicemen of military units of the Mykolaiv Garrison for 2023-2025.

It was reported that servicemen of the Mykolaiv Garrison have the right to receive housing in Mykolaiv — those military units that are registered in the city and pay taxes.

It was also reported that the Mykolaiv region will become a pilot region that will introduce an expanded program of soft loans for housing for prisoners of war. In particular, it is planned to allocate funds from the regional budget to compensate 20% of the first installment for the purchase of apartments for prisoners of war.
