Vitalii Kim, the head of Mykolayiv RMA, said that the difference of about 200 tons of fuel for Ukrainian defenders arose due to legal issues.

It is about documents not signed by the military for the received fuel, he explained to journalists during a briefing on October 28, «NikVesti» writes.

According to him, the military for various reasons did not have the legal capacity to sign the acts, for example: the car, which was refueled, is not on the balance sheet of the unit.

— I am indignant about this issue, but in a completely different context. First, we handed over about 315,000 cubes to the military, some of which they did not sign acts for. To be honest, the military understands that letters are closed after the fact. When a military tractor or tank was refueled, no one asked «where is your certificate?», «from which unit?». And when we held meetings and said «guys, it was this and this — sign the acts», then we were told «we can't», «we don't have these machines on the balance sheet», «the brigade commander has changed». Everyone understood that they received more and had to sign it, but not everyone wanted to. Although we did more than planned, because part of the fuel came from business, volunteer work, — said Vitalii Kim.

The head of the RMA added that this issue will be resolved in accordance with the court's decision.

— Everyone understands what happened. When it was necessary to take fuel, the military took it, but when it was necessary to sign documents, not everyone was able to do it legally. For example, indeed, not all cars were on balance. But it so happened that it had to be closed. However, there are court rulings according to which everything will be closed. To be honest, I collected them more than once and shouted, but this is how it turned out. You are doing something good for people, and then you are also responsible for it, — he added.

As you know, the publication Nikcenter published an investigation «Fuel for discord: how the Mykolayiv RMA lost fuel worth UAH 4 million». In the material, the journalists said that in March 2022, by order of the Mykolaiv RMA, 505 tons of diesel and naval fuel were distributed at civilian gas stations in the city.

In one month, during the audit, the Navy did not account for 204 tons of fuel. Of them, 50 tons for 1.6 million hryvnias were written off through the state-owned enterprise Mykolaiv Armored Plant, and 17 tons from MKP Mykolaivvodokanal, the journalists explained. They have already been returned to the military by court order.

However, the military has still not received most of it - about 136 tons of gasoline and diesel worth about 4 million hryvnias.

The naval base is suing two companies: AZS Status LLC and AV-Nafta LLC in an attempt to recover the lost diesel and gasoline. The biggest shortages were found at their gas stations.

We will remind you that the fuel of the company of former people's deputy Viktor Medvedchuk, which was stored at one of the enterprises of the Mykolaiv region, was decided to be transferred to the needs of the Armed Forces.
