Government allocates over ₴30 million to support universities in Mykolaiv region

The Cabinet of Ministers has allocated 30.6 million hryvnias for higher education institutions in Mykolaiv region. The funds will be used to support the work of universities that continue the educational process despite constant air raids and shelling.

This was announced by Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko.

«The Government has redistributed another 30.6 million hryvnias to support the activities of higher education institutions in Mykolaiv region. We are talking about universities that operate despite air raids and shelling,» Yuliia Svyrydenko wrote.

She noted that prior to that, 300 million hryvnias had already been allocated to higher education institutions in Sumy, Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia regions.

«Our task is to strengthen educational institutions in the frontline regions so that they can continue to educate and train specialists,» the Prime Minister said.

As a reminder, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has instructed the government to simplify the conditions for admission to Ukrainian universities and increase the amount of student scholarships.
